Bandsaw Blade Sharpening

E-mail Print

A bandsaw can be sharpened in place with an 80 grit wheel in an angle grinder.  Start at the weld and gently touch the top of each tooth with the spinning wheel.  Try to keep the material you remove to a minimum.  This technique will not produce a blade suitable for resawing 1/16 inch veneer, but it’s good enough for bowl blanks and it extends the life of your saw blades.
