Arthropod Eviction

E-mail Print
Insects can produce stunning patterns in certain timber species.  They can also become unwelcome guests in the workshop.  Place infested blanks in a plastic trash bag, then generously spray an old towel with a general purpose aerosol insecticide and put it in the bag with the wood.  Seal the bag securely and leave it for a day or two.   Note: Use this technique at your own risk. Insecticides are toxic by definition. Do not spray the wood directly and be especially careful if the product is intended as a food receptacle.
