Events

AAW Symposium

The annual symposium of the American Association of Woodturners (www.woodturner.org) is coming to Hartford, CT June 18th to the 20th.  This is a great opportunity to meet other woodturners (local, national & international), gain new knowledge, see some awesome work, and visit the biggest woodturning vendor selection in one spot.  17 demonstrators with 11 rotations!!!!

But we need your help to make this a success.  We are looking for volunteers (yes your spouses can volunteer too) to donate a couple of hours.  Whether you are an AAW member or not, you can help.

If you are planning on attending, don't forget to register before May 15th, before the price goes up.

March Meeting

The March meeting will be on Tuesday March 23rd at 7PM at the Willamantic shops of Turning 70 & Bolton Woodturning - 31 Moulton Ct, Willimantic, CT.

CCW member Ken Rowe will be having a mini clinic at 6.30PM demonstrating the making of a bow knife (bread knife).  For the evening presentation, Ken will show us how to make a pepper mill.  Also that evening, Mike South will be opening his shop for a shop tag sale.  Mike has lots of wood & tools & stuff that need new homes.  Cash or check...no credit cards.
